Will Feige Stick to Big Screen Star Wars?
So, we all know that everyone in Hollywood is VERY truthful when it comes to their gigs. I mean, Ewan McGregor never lied to us. Er, um, wait. Maybe. IDK.
However, the on the record statement from Kevin Feige is that he is NOT working on television projects for Lucasfilm.
Kevin Keeping Things Tight
Nick Romano of Entertainment Weekly posted:
[T]he man himself tells EW in an interview for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier that his involvement with the galaxy far, far away will not extend to the multitude of TV shows now in the works for Disney+.
“No. That’s all Kathy Kennedy,” Feige said, referring to the president of Lucasfilm. “I’m involved in as much as I stay up until midnight L.A. time to watch new episodes of The Mandalorian when they drop.”
Origin Story
MickeyBlog.com first posted about Feige’s Star Wars soiree back in September of 2019 (has it been that long?):
Now, am I saying Feige is lying? No. However, I don’t think it behooves people in Hollywood (the land of show BUSINESS) to be as up-front with the press as they would otherwise be without cameras rolling.
And, as Alec Guinness’ as Obi-Wan said in Return of the Jedi, “You will find that many of the truths we cling to depend greatly on our own point of view.”
So, what’s the truth? Honestly, I am not sure I care — other that I want Star Wars to continue — and Feige would be up to whatever task.
A Certain Point Of View?
And, depending on who you talk to, he might already be ON task.
This is not true…
Watch today’s Kessel Run Radio to hear what’s actually going on with Feige and Star Wars…https://t.co/zg937TZWEK https://t.co/WRufIDXjQr

No doubt. Didn’t mean for that to sound like I was coming after SWNN or the article. I just mean that from what we’ve heard, he’s not telling the whole story.
Love the site and I appreciate what y’all do.

On Kessel Run Radio, Noah Outlaw — who has been known to drop a dank deet or two — explained that he had heard Feige was already actively involved, not only in his own Star Wars film but also with the already-in-production Obi-Wan Kenobi.
I won’t give too much away; go watch Noah at the 8:00 mark or so (below). But Outlaw explained that a team of readers including Fiege and good friend Jon Favreau read the original scripts for Obi-Wan and gave them a solid, “No.”
Then, soon with Ewan aboard, the series was re-written with a Kenobi-centric bent that was a departure from the original scripts. Anyway, yada, yada, yada, we’re due to soon see Ben Kenobi walk the deserts of Tatooine.
The crux of Noah’s argument, and one with which I tacitly agree, was, “If you have Kevin Feige around, and you’re building something like Star Wars is trying to build right now… this connected universe, and you have Kevin Feige’s phone number, you should be calling all the time.”
Anyway, Kevin Feige is concentrating on his Star Wars film. And it probably makes sense that someone smart over at Lucasfilm is dropping a dime or two.
“So, what I told you was true, from a certain point of view….”
