Orlando International Airport Predicts Traffic Up 45% This Spring Break
With Spring Break in full swing, The Orlando International Airport has noticed heavier crowds. With vaccinations on the rise and COVID-19 on the decline, confidence is slowly starting to return when it comes to travel.
This marks a massive change given that last year at this time COVID was resulting in closures at airports, theme parks, resorts and other travel destinations.
According to a recent story on WESH, Orlando International Airport is predicting a 45% increase in travel this Spring Break.
It is believed a total of 1.9 million passengers will pass through the MCO this Spring. However, it should be noted that the Centers for Disease Control is still advising people to avoid unnecessary travel in order to avoid another spike in COVID cases similar to what we saw around the holidays!
As we previously reported here at MickeyBlog, the crowds are noticeably heavier across Walt Disney World Resort. The park pass system which was created by Disney to monitor capacity at each of Walt Disney World’s four theme parks is showing that passes are completely booked up for this week meaning that all parks are at 35% capacity during the entire week.
We will continue to monitor crowds closely! Readers are encouraged to keep following along with us for further Walt Disney World news and updates.
