The Falcon and the Winter Soldier – New Featurette…
Look out! The Disney PR train is in high gear and we’re learning more and more about the upcoming series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
The official Marvel YouTube account posted a number of videos over the past week and Marvel.com added a new featurette.
Our two favorite co-workers, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are back to give you a behind-the-scenes look at Marvel Studios’ The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Start streaming the new original series on March 19 on Disney+.
“It’s an example of opposites attract,” states Mackie in the featurette. “We couldn’t be more different.”
“There are definitely days where I feel like he’s going to kill me,” says Stan with a laugh. “He’s like when you have a fly in your house and it just won’t go away. But you have a very good dynamic.”

However, it was a quote from a New York Times article, which tells me everything I need to know about the upcoming show:
If the series were ultimately to bestow Sam Wilson the status and title of Captain America — a question that it appears poised to address over its run, though the outcome is not guaranteed — this would carry considerable symbolic weight, Mackie acknowledged.
But for now, the actor preferred to talk more broadly about Captain America as a character who represents a responsibility that all Americans have to preserving the fabric of the nation.
“The idea of Captain America is, I am my brother’s keeper,” Mackie said.
Somewhere along the line, we’ve forgotten that. America is the land of opportunity, of freedom, choice, and power, and Captain America represents all of that — he represents it for everybody.”
‘Nuff said. Can’t wait to see this show. Right, True Believers?
