Walt Disney Imagineering Shares First Look of Cinderella Castle Décor for 50th Anniversary Celebrations
As plans are underway for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations, Walt Disney Imagineering has just shared and Instagram post highlighting the décor and changes coming to the iconic Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom.
Once complete, Cinderella Castle in the Magic Kingdom will feature “shimmering jewels and ribbons in royal blues and EARidescent golds will wrap its turrets and towers in all directions.”
In this artist rendering, Cinderella Castle becomes a Beacon of Magic in Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. As part of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” honoring Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th anniversary beginning Oct. 1, 2021, the castle and other icons at each Walt Disney World theme park will come to life at night with their own EARidescent glow. Mary Blair’s vision from Cinderella was the inspiration for the EARidescent colors and accents of gold that will adorn Cinderella Castle for the 50th Anniversary once the reimagination is complete.

Cinderella Castle will debut its whimsical new look just in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations that will kick off on October 1, 2021. The celebrations will go on for 18 months and the Castle will keep this look for the entire time.
