Here’s a List of The Disney Stores Permanently Closing This Month
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ll know that earlier this week we reported that 60 Disney Stores will be closing later this month. The reason sited by the company was a shift toward online ordering via the shopDisney website. In addition we can only assume that sales at Disney’s brick and mortar stores has been greatly impacted by the COVID-19 shutdown.
So far, a list has surfaced on the shopDisney website highlighting 40 of the 60 stores that are expected to close effective March 24th. Let’s take a look:

If you were following along with MickeyBlog earlier in the week you’ll know that Disney announced the closure of 60 shops which makes of a third of stores in North America. Disney has around 300 stores worldwide..According to CNBC,Stephanie Young, president of consumer said, products, games and publishing “While consumer behavior has shifted toward online shopping, the global pandemic has changed what consumers expect from a retailer.”
With the shift toward online shopping, The Walt Disney Company also said that they will be making enhancements to shopDisney and will be increasing the variety of products available. This will include more offerings for adults including apparel, streetwear, housewares and more!
