Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Earns 12 Noms for Saturn Awards

Star Wars is VERY well represented at the annual Saturn Awards. The Saga earned 15 nominations, a dozen for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, two for The Mandalorian, and one for Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

Despite an 86% audience score, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker earned a 51% rotten on the Tomatometer via RottenTomatoes.com. The film, whose critics consensus read, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker suffers from a frustrating lack of imagination, but concludes this beloved saga with fan-focused devotion,” garnered a year’s best 12 nominations.

Meanwhile, the first season of The Mandalorian garnered near identical 93% and 91% Tomatometer and Audience Score (respectively). The second season earned 94% and 90% and a critics consensus which exclaimed:

Honestly, I am not sure which season we’re talking about, but The Mandalorian earned the noms for:

Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Season 7
And, finally, Season 7 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars boasts a 100% on the Tomatometer and a 94% Audience Score. The crisis consensus says, “Thanks to its beautifully animated action-sequences and its impressively layered storytelling, The Clone Wars‘ final chapter affirms its place as one of Star Wars‘ greatest entries.”
Star Wars: The Clone Wars earned the nomination for Best Animated Television Series.
