More Galaxy’s Edge Exclusive Merchandise Coming to shopDisney
A fourth shipment directly from Batuu (Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge) is set to arrive on shopDisney soon. The newest shipment seems to come directly from a Star Destroyer as the new wave will all be related to the First Order.
The snippet that shopDisney has shown us so far features a Storm Trooper helmet and a mug themed around the Storm Trooper armor. This is the fourth wave of merchandise that was previously exclusive to Batuu that has now made its way onto shopDisney for guests across America and the globe.
The previous waves have seen shipments from Droid Depot, providing everything you need to build your own droid companion. Selection from the Droid Depot includes personality chops and oil mugs.
Another wave saw merchandise land from Black Spire Outfitters. The clothing store sells clothing items fit for any budding Jedi or Sith Lord. Many outfit pieces are available including robes, belts, arm wraps, and tunics.
Galaxy’s Edge exclusive Funko Pop! Vinyls have been made available online. The two exclusive designs online have been DJ R3X, having made his way from a retired Star Tours captain to DJing night at day in Batuu at Oga’s Cantina, and Honda Ohnaka.
Guests will have had the chance to work for Honda if they’ve boarded Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.
Currently, there is no reason as to why Disney has decided to release Galaxy’s Edge exclusive merchandise online. However, it can be assumed it is due to the loss of merchandise profits that the company could get while the parks were closed due to the pandemic.
With Disneyland still being closed, profits from merchandise are still severely lacking to what they once were. Of course, California Adventure and Downtown Disney are open with certain stores being open, however, this will be reaping the company nothing to what they’re used to.
