Luke Cage and Iron Fist Might Be Coming to Disney+
The Marvel Universe continues with rumors of an Iron Fist/Luke Cage pairing for a new Disney+ show. The two characters previously could be found on Netflix, but both characters are from Marvel Universe and are linked in the comics. A Disney+ show featuring these two would definitely pack a punch.
Luke Cage
Luke Cage is the bulletproof defender of Harlem. He uses his superhuman strength to take on corrupt politicians and common criminals. Cage was most recently played by Nick Colter. There are many reports that Colter will return to the Marvel Universe as the powerful Luke Cage. Looks like Disney+ might be the platform.
Iron Fist
The character Danny Rand or Iron Fist has a long history with Luke Cage. They are both part of The Defenders and Iron Fist appeared in the second season of the Netflix series “Luke Cage”. Iron Fist wields a mystical force called The Iron Fist and is a master of the marital arts.
There are more rumors surrounding Iron Fist’s return to Marvel Universe. Several have said he will be seen the the upcoming Shang-Chi movies. However the actor who played him in the Netflix series, Finn Jones, may not reprise his role.
The Dynamic Duo
Geekosity reports “Luke Cage is being discussed to reunite with his old pal Iron Fist on Disney Plus. Marvel Studios is apparently considering a limited series starring the streetwise duo” (Sutton).
Falcon and Winter Solider might not be the only Marvel power couple coming to Disney+. Although just a rumor now, a Luke Cage and Iron Fist series would be welcome.
