Walt Disney World Red Monorail Has Returned To Service
We had a fun surprise this afternoon! Our friend Nick, the host of MagicalNewsLive on YouTube happened to spy the Red Monorail back in service at Disney’s Grand Floridian. It was running on the Resort Monorail line that currently connects Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and the Transportation and Ticket Center (TTC).
Bridget Edwards, one of the fantastic agents at MickeyTravels, was able to hop aboard and give us a quick peek inside to see the updates.
As you can see in the photos above, new plastic partitions have been installed to help keep guests socially distanced. You’ll notice the section numbers displayed on the partitions too. When boarding the monorail a Cast Member will assign you a section to sit in. This helps keep everything running as smoothly as possible.
One of the other beautiful changes you’ll notice is the new vibrant red walls that have been updated. The monorail seating is also now silver. I think it looks fantastic.
The Walt Disney World Monorail System operates from 30 minutes prior to earliest park opening until one hour after latest park closing.
We still have no word on when Disney will re-instate the EPCOT monorail line. Currently only the Resort and Express Monorail lines are operational.
Stay tuned to MickeyBlog for all the latest Disney news and updates!
