VIDEO: Disney+ Drops Brand New Trailer For Marvel’s Behind The Mask Documentary
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll know that we’ve been sharing all of the exiting details regarding Marvel’s Behind the Mask a brand new documentary that dives into the stories behind Marvel’s most iconic characters.
The documentary will debut on Disney+ this Friday (February 12th) and Disney has just dropped a new clip providing fans with a taste of what’s to come!
This documentary focuses on the notion of secret identities and the way that it enables characters to seemingly live “normal lives.” But, as comic book fans know, this comes with a dual nature with characters transforming into the heroes and villains that we’ve come to know and love! Since the 1960s Marvel’s writers and artists have used this idea of identity to examine topics such as race and gender. The stories not only represented a fantastical world but also held up a mirror to the world outside our widows, a reflection of our own identities and ultimately what it means to be “human.”
The documentary will feature guests spanning 80 years of the studio’s legacy including writers and artists behind some of Marvel’s most beloved characters like Black Panther, Miles Morales, Ms. Marvel, Luke Cage, the X-Men, Captain Marvel, and more!
The documentary was produced by Marvel New Media in conjunction with Tarmac Creative. It was directed by Michael Jacobs and produced by Chris Gary and Ryan Simon for Tarmac. Joe Quesada, Shane Rahmani, Stephen Wacker, John Cerilli, Harry Go, and Sarah Amos serve as Executive Producers for Marvel.
