Five Of Our Favorite Places To Go For Pizza At Disney World
Today is National Pizza Day and we thought we’d celebrate by sharing with you a handful of places we love to go to get that perfect slice at Walt Disney World. There’s no shortage of awesome slices you can enjoy at the theme parks, resorts and beyond but the 5 on our list are particularly delightful. Let’s take a look!
1) Pizza Ponte – Disney Springs
Pizza Ponte (which you’ll find in the same building as The Edison and Maria & Enzo’s) has a reputation for serving up on of the biggest slices of pizza you’ll find at Disney World making it a go-to-spot for late night snackers. Their Sicilian-style pizza by the slice comes in a range of toppings from tomato, cheese and basil to spicy salami, parma ham or forest mushroom. Princes start at $6.95 for a slice but they definitely eat like a meal! Other menu options include sandwiches, salads, Italian desserts along with beer and wine!
2 Blaze Pizza – Disney Springs
This popular chain has a shop at Disney Springs. If you’ve never been to Blaze, you don’t know what you’re missing! You can customize your own pizzas at here choosing your own sauce, cheese and other toppings. Your unique creation is then cooked rapdily in a special pizza oven meaning its piping hot and ready in mere minutes. Best of all, the toppings here are free from artificial flavors, colors or preservations! You’ll also find nice options for vegetarians, vegans and those with other dietary restrictions!
3. Via Napoli – Italy Pavilion – Epcot
Ask Disney regulars where to grab their favorite slice at the theme parks and this restaurant is likely to come up tops! The attention to detail at Via Napoli is simply exquisite with the restaurant only using the best ingredients. The thin crust pizzas are made with fresh mozzarella cheese, San Marzano tomatoes and real Caputo flour imported from Southern Italy. And get this, the water for the dough is even sourced from a spring similar to Italy’s Campania region. Pizzas are then cooked in wood-burning ovens brimming with character (see above) and named after the three active volcanoes in Italy.
Chef Nick Valenti spent time in Naples studying the art of dough, crust, sauce, oven temperatures and more at famous pizzerias pizzerias Da Michele and Trianon before creating the menu at Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria. In other words, it doesn’t get much better than this for pizza lovers!
4. California Grill – Disney’s Contemporary Resort
You can trust that when this gourmet restaurant nestled at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort decides to do pizza, they do it well! Though this is maybe the last place you’d expect pizza to rank as one of our favorite eats, trust us when we say its DELICIOUS! This restaurant has been know to switch up their pizza offerings seasonally but two staples you’ll usually find on the menu are the Pepperoni Pizza which features house-made Pepperoni, Tomato Conserva, Fontina, Asiago, Parmesan, Mozzarella, Basil-Oregano and Pistou as well as the Four Cheese which expertly combings Roasted Forest Mushrooms, Sottocenere, Taleggio, Burrata and Parmesan Fonduta.
The pizzas will set you back $23.00 and reservations for this Fine Dining spot are recommended!
5. Pizza Window – Disney’s Boardwalk Inn
So this isn’t the most gourmet pizza you’ll find at Walt Disney World but there is something delightfully nostalgic about being able to walk up to this pizza window during your stroll around Disney World’s turn-of-the-century Boardwalk and order up a slice! The window does both pizza by the slice and whole pies (which are perfect for taking back to your room if you’re staying at one of Disney’s EPCOT resorts.) There’s also a nice outdoor seating area perfect for al-fresco dining and watching the world pass by!
Just now, the Pizza Window is open daily from 12pm – 10pm making it a perfect spot to stop after a long day at the parks!
