Will Cape May Cafe Be The Next Walt Disney World Restaurant to Reopen?
Since Walt Disney World reopened last Summer, it has been using a phased approach to gradually reopen restaurants and resorts. While many restaurants have since reopened, we are still waiting for some of our favorites to announce their reopening date including the Cape May Cafe at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
But, we might not have to wait too much longer for that to happen! We stopped by Disney’s Beach Club Resort this morning and were delighted to see the first signs that Cape May Cafe will begin welcoming Guests again in the near future. As you can see in the photos, signs have been placed on select tables to ensure social distancing measures are in place once the restaurant officially reopens.
As with all other Walt Disney World restaurants, once reopened, Cape May Cage will operate with a reduced capacity and limit the number of tables in use to ensure there is adequate space between you and other parties.
Before Cape May Cafe closed back in March 2020 due to the pandemic, Guests could start their day with a character breakfast in the morning or end their day with a delicious seafood buffet in the evening. It is unknown at this time if this will be the same format offered when the restaurant reopens.
In addition to Cape May Cafe still being closed, Disney’s Beach Club Resort itself is not scheduled to reopen until May 30, 2021. However, Disney’s Beach Club Villas and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort are reopened and welcoming Guests.
