Testing Continues on PeopleMover With Cars Reportedly Colliding Earlier Today
Oh Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover how we miss you! This popular Magic Kingdom attraction offering a bird’s eye view of Tomorrowland and a look inside Space Mountain has remained closed to the public since the COVID-19 shutdown. We’ve been watching anxiously as the attraction seems to be undergoing constant maintenance and hoping for some sign that it will be whisking us around Tomorrowland soon.
During our previous conversations with cast members regarding the lengthy shutdown we were told that there were mechanical issues that could take some time to sort out.
Earlier this morning visitors were reporting that PeopleMover cars were crashing together while testing was being carried out in Tomorrowland
By the time we arrived at the Magic Kingdom cast members were back to actively running the ride at full speed. There were members of the team along the track actively watching the cars pass along the route.
Seeing the PeopleMover well, moving…, we here at MickeyBlog are taking it as a sign that Disney is inching ever closer to reopening this much-loved Tomorrowland ride. Disney has been actively testing the attraction since last Fall.
Having the PeopleMover back up and running would definitely be popular during the busy Spring Break period!
This is a story that we here at MickeyBlog will continue to follow closely. Readers are encouraged to keep following along with us for further Walt Disney World news and updates. We’ll be coming to you LIVE! from Walt Disney World throughout the holiday season.
