Star Wars: Which Set Was That?
Set photos from last week were from Andor….
The other day we were pretty excited to explore the new streets of a film production set in the UK. We thought it was a look at a set from the upcoming Star Was: Obi-Wan Kenobi show coming to Disney+.
However, if you recall, we wondered aloud about the location.
It just didn’t look like Tatooine.
It was Andor…
But I was, like many of the sources I cited, off target.
In an exclusive, FanthaTracks Brian Cameron posted:
Fantha Tracks have reviewed public records for the site, and we have been able to confirm that the set is in fact for ‘Andor.’ Whilst we won’t publish correspondence we have seen that confirms… that it is the Andor set below.
And, Greg Evans of ThatHashTagShow.com added:
Not only were they able to confirm that this is the set for the new Andor Disney+series, but Fantha Tracks also revealed proof from the sizzle reel! They point out that if you watch at the 54 seconds and 1-minute 25-second marks you can find the areas on the set that matches up with the sizzle reel.
We think he’s right:
Working to Make the Best Show
“Rogue One, in many ways, is a film that connected new audiences with the oldest fans,” explained Luna in the sizzle reel. “It was a bittersweet feeling… at the premiere, knowing that it was just one film.
“But then magic happens, right?”
Well, maybe not magic. But lightning striking twice? Hopefully.
Luna looked pretty excited as he walked around the new set; presumably the one we saw from the photos in The Sun.
“As you can see we’re getting ready,” said Diego, gesturing around a massive set in the process of construction. “We’re building stages; we’re rehearsing, training and trying costumes.
“We’re doing everything to make sure we’re doing the best show.
“I’m really excited, having the chance to explore cassian. It’s reallyl fun to go on a set that is emulating something that you like so much.”
We’re pretty excited, too, Diego. We’re excited too.
