Thor: Love and Thunder Set Photos Released
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is ever-expanding, with the newly released WandaVision that triggered Phase 4, and of course, the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder.
Set photos have been released ahead of the fourth installment centering around Thor, giving fans a small glimpse of the world-building that is taking place behind the scenes, and showing the massive effort that goes into constructing a world big enough, and real enough, for our beloved god of thunder to play In.
The set appears mysterious, as there is no particular give away as to what it will become once the film is made. There are guesses as to what the seemingly rocky terrain is being built to represent.
Some well-versed fans point to the set pieces as being indicative and reminiscent of the unnamed planet that is the homeworld to one Gorr; nicknamed in the comics as the feared “God Butcher.”
The villainous and terrifying Gorr is the antagonist for popular modern Thor comics; making an appearance as perhaps the main antagonist for the Lady Thor run. This guess is rooted in speculation that Gorr will, not only be present in the fourth installment of the franchise but be the main antagonistic force of the film.
Gorr would have quite the challenge ahead, as the currently in development Thor: Love and Thunder will host an array of MCU veterans.
Chris Hemsworth returns as Thor, Tessa Thompson will be back as beloved Valkerye, rumors have swirled that Chris Pratt and other Guardians of the Galaxy will be present, as well as the shocking return of Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster.
With Foster likely, in accordance with Director Taika Waititis Comic-con comments, uphold the mantle as Thor; following the storyline of her comic book counterpart.
Although speculation is running rampant, news and details surrounding the film have been preserved tightly by the people at Marvel. Disney has ensured that production stays under wraps, likely to maintain surprises awaiting fans whenever, and however, Thor: Love and Thunder reaches audiences.
