Could Tables In Wonderland Be Discontinued Soon?

At Walt Disney World, a long-standing dining perk for Annual Passholders, Florida Residents and DVC members was Tables in Wonderland.  Qualifying guests could apply for an annual membership and save up to 20% on food and drink at participating Disney restaurants.  This was the perfect alternative for regular visitors who weren’t able to benefit from a dining plan.  However, it now looks as if it may be going way!? 

Though at the moment this is just speculation, we have heard from insider sources that Disney is planning on scrapping Tables in Wonderland altogether and that an announcement is imminent.

Back in June, Disney announced that they would be offering a membership extension for all those Tables in Wonderland members that paid for the plan but weren’t able to use it during the COVID-19 shutdown which saw the theme parks closed for over four months.  However, as we near the end of the extension period, Disney is no longer accepting new members into the Tables in Wonderland program.

Speculation was rife even before the pandemic that Disney was thinking of discontinuing Tables in Wonderland.  With memberships currently on hold, now would be the most convenient time to discontinue the plan were Disney to make such a decision. Again, at the moment Disney has not announced anything official.  This is a story that we’ll continue to follow closely and we promise to keep you updated once we know more!
