The Mandalorian Video Game Now in Development
Newly announced Lucasfilm Games has wasted little time in discussing the titles coming their recently established umbrella brand.
Among those, it has been reported that development has begun on a video game based off of the beloved Disney+ series, The Mandalorian.
The series, which takes viewers on the adventure of the Mandalorian bounty hunter and to the far reaches of the galaxy, has quickly become one of Disney’s most believed properties.
Spawning all forms of merchandise, and an irrefutable place in pop culture; the Mandalorian and his child counterpart, Grogu, have been beloved by audiences, critics and even non-Star Wars fans alike.
It is not a surprise that the series title character will get his own video game series, as the two seem like a match made in Star Wars fan heaven.
Although there have been few details surfacing around the prospective video game, there is news that Star Wars fans will be able to play as Mando, along with Star Wars veteran bounty hunter, Boba Fett.
History tells us that development and production of the game will likely not be taking place at Lucasfilm; with another studio carrying the actual development for the Mandalorian game.
EA is a likely partner, as they have already developed widely beloved Star Wars series Jedi Fallen Order, Battlefront, and Rogue Squadron. Lucasfilm Games will, however, handle distribution under their new unified branding.
There is no timetable for completion, or release, but fans can still catch season two of the acclaimed Jon Faverau helmed series on Disney+ today.
