CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Work Continues On Rivers of America
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog then you’ll know that things are looking a tad bit different around Rivers of American at Magic Kingdom.
A few months ago, the entire river was drained for routine maintenance leaving the riverbed exposed along with the track for the Liberty Belle.
Work is continuing on the project with construction crews out in full force during our visit earlier today.
One of the main areas where we noticed work having been carried out was at Harper’s Mill.
The entire area is covered in scaffolding from a recent paint job.
We do love the rustic read color of the Mill!
Makeshift work areas have been set up along the riverbed.
Just to the right you can see the area that is typically used for boarding the Liberty Belle.
The Mill is definitely looking vibrant with its new update.
It’s incredible to see the entire area emptied out.
If you look closely you can see into Frontierland to the left and Haunted Mansion on the right showing your the sheer extent of the work.
We’ll continue to follow this project closely and promised to keep you posted once we receive details regarding an estimated date for the project to be finished. Disney has previously said they hope to have the work done by February 2021.
