Michael Giacchino Announced as Composer for Marvel’s ‘Secret Invasion’
The upcoming Disney+ series, ‘Secret Invasion’ has found its composer in veteran Michael Giacchino.
The composer has developed the sounds of television series, films, and video games; while now jumping at the opportunity to once again work along side Marvel for the upcoming live action series.
This won’t be Giacchino’s first time working with the Disney brand, as he has two Academy Award nominations for Disney Pixar’s Ratatouille and Up; winning Best Original Score, for his work on the latter. Giacchino has also worked with Pixar and Disney with work on the likes of The Incredibles, Inside Out, Coco, and The Incredibles 2.
Other composing credits of Giacchino’s include projects such as Cloverfield, Speed Racer, Star Trek, Rogue One, the Reeves’ directed Planet of the Apes trilogy, and critically acclaimed Jojo Rabbit, to name a few.
Giacchino’s excellent composing on Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man: Far From Home, have likely driven Marvels decision in signing on the veteran composer this early in the development process.
Michael Giacchino has also been recruited by Sony and Marvel for his participation in the third installment of Jon Watts’ Spider-Man.
Announced during The Walt Disney Company’s Investor 2020, Marvel head Kevin Fiegi presented the ‘Secret Invasion’ series coming to Disney+.
Starring Marvel Cinematic Universe and film veteran Samuel L. Jackson, who will be reprising his role as Avengers mastermind Nick Fury, the series will elaborate on the events of Captain Marvel, and the revelation of a presence of the Skrull race on the planet.
