Patrick Dempsey and Amy Adams Returning for Enchanted Sequel
We’ve got some exciting news for all of those anxiously awaiting the sequel to beloved Disney film Enchanted. During an interview with GMA yesterday, Patrick Dempsey who started as the lead alongside Amy Adams confirmed that the pair will be returning for the sequel – Disenchanted.
Dempsey, who played romantic lead Robert in the original film showed off a script for the upcoming film which will make its debut on the Disney+ streaming network. He told the network that he’s looking forward to reprising the role saying, “I just got this script for the second movie, and then I’m starting to go through and get notes together. ” Dempsey, 55 also said in the interview that shooting for the sequel could start as early as this Spring!.

Dempsey also said in the interview how amazing his co-star Amy Adams was and how he was looking forward to staring alongside her in the the sequel!
Enchanted was released back in 2007 and starred Amy Adams as Giselle, a princess from a cartoon world who dreams of find her “Happily Ever After.” She finds herself in (live-action) New York City and finds her prince in the form of single dad Robert played by Dempsey.
Rounding out the cast of the original film were James Marsden as Prince Edward, Susan Sarandon as Queen Narissa and Idina Menzel as Nancy. Julie Andrews also narrated the film which also earned 3 Academy Award nominations.
Though speculation has been around for years that Disney was considering a sequel to the film it was officially confirmed during the Investors Day call that happened last month.
