Randy Hafner Promoted to Central Florida CEO at AdventHealth
After the unexpected resignation of now-former CEO Daryl Tol’s surprise resignation in early January. The $3.36 Billion non-profit healthcare organization has found a New Central Florida CEO in newly appointed Randy Hafner; a move that will go into effect the first of February.
AdventHealth has been an ever-present entity In Florida’s healthcare community. This move is relevant as they are the organization responsible for all temperature screenings at all Walt Disney World parks in Florida, including Disney Springs.
The COVID-19 pandemic protocols implemented by the Disney company have come from their reliance on AdventHealth. There is now uncertainty as to what Tol’s resignation, and Hafner’s replacement, means for their partnership going forward; it can assumed, however, that it will be business as usual come February 1st’s transition.
Tol had been a fortified presence in the organization since 2015. He was the leader behind AdventHealths transition from their tenure at Florida Hospital and has been awarded OBJ’s CEO of the year in 2017.
Hafner is being promoted from his position as Senior Executive Vice President and President/ CEO for AdventHealth’s Multi-state division. He will now transition from overseeing the eight states that AdventHealth holds operations in, to exclusively leading their operations in Central Florida.
AdventHealth’s Central Florida Division operates 20 hospitals and ER’s in seven counties within the Orlando Metro Area. Their Disney partnership is expected to continue with Hafner’s guidance.
