TRON Lightcycle Power Run Coaster Delayed Until After 2021
Disney had big plans this year for its milestone 50th anniversary. Specifically in Magic Kingdom where they were set to debut the new indoor, outdoor rollercoaster, TRON Lightcycle Power Run coaster next to Space Mountain. But Covid got in t he way of those plans.
According to USA Today, when they spoke with Disney, Disney claimed that TRON will not debut in time for the anniversary this fall like we all hoped.
Looking through the most recent construction photos of the new coaster gets me so excited for what’s to come! The latest update includes the canopy taking shape.
The ride’s signature white canopy is really taking on its notable “curved wave” shape now.
You can see the giant cranes placing some of the nearly 40 huge pieces of this structure. We still can’t get over the massive size and scale of this new Tomorrowland attraction!
When the canopy is completed, known as the Upload Conduit, the brown structural supports will be removed and the futuristic look will really come to life.
