Character Posters, Teaser Released for WandaVision
Disney+: New Character Posters and Clips Give WandaVision Clues…
Should old acquaintance be forgot
And never brought to mind?
Firstly, a new teaser clip and new poster-style images welcomed Marvel fans on New Years Day and seemed to fall right into the sentiment of the old saw “Auld Lang Syne.”
Secondly, all of it begs the questions: What has Wanda Maximoff forgotten? What is she trying to bring to mind?

Let’s take a closer look at those images:
Like puzzle pieces from different boxes, the screens don’t quite match up for Wanda Elizabeth Olsen). Wanda’s many outfits converge, but don’t connect, even with her Avengers uniform pictured at center. Matching the look and feel of the series’ previous images, we’re wanting some semblance of meaning, of order. This image says, “Pound sand!” to that notion.
Here Vision’s visage is — perhaps — the most disturbing. He looks confused. He looks upset. Vision (Paul Bettany) looks beleaguered. All of which is fine for a TV sitcom dad. But this is an Avenger. The artificial being once called JARVIS took down Ultron for goodness’ sake. What is going on here? We don’t know. And Vision certainly doesn’t know.
IMDB.com says Kathryn Hahn is playing Agnes. Without getting into Marvel comic canon, we don’t know much about this character beyond her witchy-sounding name. And that in at least one scene of the trailers, Agnes is playing a part in the sitcom. However, there is something unsettling about this character, who seems to have ulterior motives. And look at the picture, center right on the old black and white. To me, that looks like someone screaming. No?
Perhaps the most interesting poster is that of Monica Rambeau (Akira Akbar), with the most compelling image being that of a flight suit (?). I am drawing on EW.com for this character’s description: MCU fans first met Monica as a young child in 2019’s Captain Marvel, as the daughter of Carol Danvers’ best friend and Air Force ally Maria Rambeau (played by Lashana Lynch). The young Monica (Akira Akbar) is fast friends with her aunt Carol (Brie Larson), but here, Lieutenant Trouble is all grown up. And she plays a key role in the strange, sitcom-inspired world of WandaVision.
And, while I was researching, I found this image on IMDB.com:
Everyone is featured on this poster, with various eras creating a whole picture (of sorts), but with the main characters looking happier. However, is Wanda faking it? Is this all just an illusion?

Moreover, Disney+ doubles down on the strangeness of the whole enterprise with this new teaser:
