Jack Black Celebrates The Mandalorian On TikTok
News flash: The Mandalorian is popular.
In fact, in November Forbes posted:
There are almost 130 million households in the U.S., and in mid-2019 at least 74% of them had at least one streaming service. 2020 has undoubtedly increased that, but even at that rate, 96 million households buy a streaming service, meaning that a minimum of 5.8 million people in the U.S. watched The Mandalorian.
Wow.
And the show was the first Disney+ show to crack the Nielsen Streaming Top 10.
So, it’s not surprising to hear that [insert name here] loves The Mandalorian. While lauding the show, they might wear a t-shirt or pose with The Child.
However, some people have a really, really intense way of showing it.
Now, Jack Black is never going to be accused of being subtle. Ever since his big screen breakout in High Fidelity, my man has been pushing the envelope; make that pushing every envelope.
And, during the pandemic, well, just read this passage from Yahoo’s Taryn Ryder:
If there’s one good thing to come out of the current situation, it’s that Jack Black is now a TikTok star. The 50-year-old comedian made his debut on the social media platform with a #StayAtHome dance and it’s just what a lot of people needed amid the coronavirus crisis.
That’s the understatement of 2020.
Star Wars (and Marvel) fans can now revel in the fandom and fanaticism of Black as he continues to #StayAtHome and entertain us.
Fans of The Mandalorian will recognize the original sound to his latest video entitled, simply, “Mando.”

And then he danced in a duet with himself.

Not to be left out, Mr. Black also “honored” two of Marvel’s mightiest heroes in two previous clips.
They are decidedly more PG-13 so I am going to link to the videos via the screen caps below:
Listen, all of these videos made me laugh (and made me feel better about my own Dad-bod).
#MTFBWY, Jack Black.
