Disney World Will No Longer Be Sending Out Reusable Luggage Tags
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog, you’ll have noticed that Disney is starting to phase out the goodies that it sends to guests in advance. Earlier this year we mentioned that in 2021 Disney will no longer be sending out complimentary MagicBands. However, these will still be available to choose and customize online for an additional per person cost.
Along a similar line, Disney has just announced that as of Friday, January 1, 2021 they will be changing the way that guests receive Magical Extras and Souvenir Luggage Tags.
Travel + Leisure
Starting on Friday, clients WILL NOT be receiving either of these items in the mail in advance of your Walt Disney World resort stay. However, both items can be picked up at the front desk anytime during your stay at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel. It should be noted that the luggage tags in question are the American Tourister plastic luggage tags featuring Disney characters. These tags are reusable.
Though this ultimately seems like one less perk to get excited about in advance of your Disney visit, it also makes sense for this policy change to coincide both with the suspension of the complimentary MagicBand policy as well as the suspension of the Magical Express baggage collection service due to COVID-19 restrictions.
However, its nice to know that for those that love the reusable luggage tags you can still pick them up during check-in at your resort. You can see the official statement from the Walt Disney Travel Company below:
