Harambe Market to Shift to Weekend Hours Only Starting In January
In preparation for smaller January crowds, one of Animal Kingdom’s popular quick service spots is moving to weekend hours.
New operating hours have just been posted on disneyworld.com and it looks like the Harambe Market located in the Africa section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom will change to a new schedule in January. Under this schedule, the eatery will only be open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am – 3pm starting after New Year’s Day.
Harambe Marketplace has long been a popular spot with quick service diners namely due to its convenient location near Festival of the Lion King, Kilimanjaro Safaris and the pathway to Pandora.
The eatery has been known for its ribs, chicken bowls, sangria and the always delightful Simba Cupcake!
It should be noted that it is not uncommon for many Walt Disney World eateries to shift to a new seasonal schedule after the busy holiday period. It should also be noted that hours posted on disneyworld.com are subject to change. With social distancing already in place at the theme park, Disney World is anticipating even smaller early 2021 crowds than usual so we may see more quick service eateries go to weekend only hours.
This is a story that we’ll be following closely. Readers are encouraged to keep checking in with MickeyBlog for further news and updates.
