Hailee Steinfeld Honored To Be Part Of The MCU
Well, that was kind of anticlimactic, no?
After what seems like a year or more of speculation, Dickinson and Bumblebee star Hailee Steinfeld is finally talking about her upcoming role on the Disney+ series Hawkeye.
Speaking to ABC, Steinfeld said she is “So, so excited and honored… to be part of the MCU and be playing alongside Jeremy.
“He’s wonderful and [it’s] quite, quite a different world than Dickinson.”
That show is based on the life of the real life Emily Dickinson who wrote poems which began:
I heard a Fly buzz – when I died –
The Stillness in the Room
Was like the Stillness in the Air –
Between the Heaves of Storm –
Yes, Hawkeye does seem a far cry from Dickinson. Hailee has traded pen for bow.
ABC added:
All in a day’s work, Steinfeld says. “You know, obviously, as an artist, as an actor, it’s fun to be able to jump into different things such as the two. So it’s been amazing.”
Also amazing is how the world was finally introduced to Marvel’s Kate Bishop.
Fans took pictures of the actor, bow in hand, on a New York City subway platform.

Hawkeye, of course, “will introduce fans to Kate Bishop, a character well-known in the Marvel comics, who will be an integral part of the new series.”
