Bob Iger Likely to Be Offered Ambassador Position in Joe Biden’s Administration
Executive Chairman of the The Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger is no stranger to politics. At one point he served as an economic advisor to the Trump Administration and his aspirations to one day run for President of the United States are no secret. But if reports from The Hollywood Reporter are true, he soon might have an Ambassador position in the Biden Administration.
The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that the Biden Administration is eyeing Iger to serve as a United States Ambassador to either the United Kingdom or China. While the United Kingdom Ambassadorship is considered one of the top ones, Iger is very familiar with China due to the success of The Walt Disney Company in the region.

Iger originally stepped down as CEO of The Walt Disney Company back in February of this year. However, Iger stayed on as Executive of the company through December 31, 2021.
Iger is also a staunch supporter of President Elect Joe Biden and his 2020 election campaign. It is reported that he personally donated $250,000 to the Biden Victory Fund.

In addition to Iger being considered for an Ambassador position, other top names in the entertainment industry are also in the mix including Jeffrey Katzenburg and Matt Walden. Walden is the spouse of Dana Walden, a Walt Disney Television chairman, and has had a multi-year friendship with Douglas Emhoff who is the husband of Vice President Elect, Kamala Harris.
In addition, Susan Rice just stepped down from her position at Netflix last week to be in charge of the Biden White House’s Domestic Policy Council.
