Poster: Wanda & Vision or Jim & Pam?
I have been looking at these posters all week; really studying them. And today was no different.
We got the all too familiar tweet, with what I am sure are cryptic messages from the folks behind WandaVision:

But, truth be told, at first nothing jumped out at me. Except maybe the flat screen monitor emoji.
However, the folks at ScreenRant thought it looked like Wanda and Vision were in a Jim and Pam (from NBC’s The Office) kinda pose.
So I did a thing:
So, I guess I see it. Wanda’s hairstyle, the head holding.
But there’s more going on here. Wanda has GREEN eyes. GLOWING green eyes. Is the Scarlett Witch feeling jealous?
And, just Looking around at the rest of the room, we see:
A painting. Does the boat look like it is going over a waterfall? Does it look like the boat is in the rapids? Whatever the case, I don’t think it’s a happy painting.
Next, we have a lamp. Straight out of a modern home goods store. A spider plant. And an aloe plant. Is something creepy going on? Is Peter Parker around? Does someone need healing?
Then, of course, we have the flatscreen TV. Complete with Blu-Ray player. And a “Magic Eight Ball.” Does someone have a decision to make? Can they not make up their mind?
Then, over to the right, we have a basket. I think it has held a plant, previously. And a blanket. However, it feels like there might be something more significant to it. Is it an heirloom? Is it a prayer shawl? IDK. But it feels more important than a simple blanket.
All the WandaVision Posters (UPDATED)
Now, focus on the now SIX posters, I think we’ll definitively place them in the decades of the 20th and 21st Century:
However, the new one feels much less based in reality. The whole poster seems, well much less organic. It’s much brighter. The highlights are off. The light seems to come from everywhere and nowhere.
And, of course, “reality” is peeling at the corners. For whatever reason, I have a real “Stranger Things” vibe, today. What exactly is lurking behind the wall?
I’ve heard much speculation about Wanda Maximoff being involved in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness. But even without that theory, the color scheme makes you think of the falling scene in the original Doctor Strange.
And, unfortunately, we’ll all be in a similar limbo until WandaVision debuts in January.
