Lucasfilm Announces ‘Rangers of the New Republic’ Series Coming to Disney+
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog you’ve no doubt seen that Disney has already announced one Mandalorian spin-off in a new Ahsoka Tano series slated for Disney+. Rosario Dawson will return to her star turn in the title role and Jon Favreau will executive produce.
But there’s another! Though details remain scarce we do know that Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni will be working on a second series called Star Wars Rangers of the New Republic.

This exciting news was revealed by boss Kathleen Kennedy and the she did say that they expect the series to hit by next Christmas. The show will run alongside The Mandalorian which will launch Season 3 around the same time.

Though not plot was given at this time, ScreenRant tells us the the title alone opens it up to much fan speculation including the fact that this could be another vehicle for Cara Dune (Gina Carano.) SPOILER ALERT: We do know that Dune takes a job with the New Republic in season 2 of The Mandalorian. This would seem to be supported by the news both series will be running at the same time.
In addition to the crossover between Rangers and The Mandalorian the series will also overlap with Ahsoka which means as ScreenRant points out that Star Wars projects will be as intertwined as the MCU.
