A Whole New Meaning for Frozen 2 Music
Songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez tell ABC that 2020 brought new meaning to Frozen sequel…
“The New Normal.” What exactly does that mean? And when will “normal” normal return?
Nobody is quite sure.
Frozen Songs Help Folks Cope
So all of us create coping mechanisms to adjust and adapt. Some of those mechanisms include music, films, podcasts, and television.
Sometimes it’s all of those mediums at once.
Recently, the creative couple behind the music of the Frozen movies talked to ABC about the ways that Frozen 2 might help those caught in the middle of 2020; looking for ways to cope.
Kristen and Robert Talk Frozen 2 Music
Megan Stone of GoodMorningAmerica.com posted:
The Oscar-winning husband and wife team behind the music of both “Frozen” films spoke to ABC Audio about how Elsa and Anna’s challenges resonated with an audience adjusting to a new normal.
“To me, the main strength of ‘Frozen 2’ is that it is about change,” Robert explained. “I think that the themes that they touch are applicable to a society that is going through maybe the most change that society has gone through in a hundred years.”
Adversity is the watchword this year. And Anderson-Lopez told GMA she thinks songs like “Into the Unknown” and “Show Yourself,” speak to everyone’s resilience in 2020.
“The stakes of the song are sort of this call that is dangerous and … forces Elsa to take action,” she said. “I think that does resonate with the current situation of everybody kind of being lost in the woods, having to find their way forward.”
Meanwhile, the songs of Frozen continue to find captive audiences everywhere.
