Funko POP Walt & Castle Sets Released At Magic Kingdom This Morning
Good morning Disney friends! Our MickeyBlogger was up bright and early this morning to head over to the Magic Kingdom. If you followed along with us over the weekend, you’ll know that today was the launch of the new Funko POP Walt Disney and Sleeping Beauty Castle sets and we couldn’t pass up the chance to add one to our collection.
The set went on sale at park opening this morning at Frontier Trading Post in the Magic Kingdom and as you can see from these images quite a crowd had assembled to pick one up!
In addition to the Frontier Trading Post, Disney Wonderful World of Memories at Disney Springs is also selling the sets.
Luckily we made it through the line and when we arrived inside the shop there was still a nice display of figures available!
The POP! sets couldn’t come out at a better time as Saturday would’ve been Walt’s 119th Birthday! these figures were also created to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of Disneyland Theme Park!
As you can see, the castle featured in the collection is actually Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland theme park in California!
The set comes with a fully sculpted vinyl Walt Disney statuette with Mickey Mouse doll,
It is number 20 in the POP! Town Vinyl series and celebrates Disneyland’s 65th Anniversary. The park first opened on July 17, 1955.
This collection can only be found exclusively at Disney and it retails for $39.99.
During our visit to the Trading Post this morning there was a limit of 4 boxes per person.
We can tell you that the sets are simply fantastic!
The come in a fun collectors box that features some awesome theme park graphics!
We absolutely love the vintage style of the boxes.
The attention to detail on these is just wonderful right down to Walt cradling a teeny Mickey Mouse doll!
At the moment the set is not available to purchase online. ShopDisney has theme listed as Sold Out.
