Ultimate Disney Lover’s Holiday Gift Guide I
We are only five weeks away from what will surely be the strangest Christmas of our entire lives.
Yes, Coronavirus concerns have forced many of us to rethink our plans this holiday season, but that makes presents that much more significant.
The items we buy for loved ones represent the best way to show how much we love them and miss them during the pandemic.
Here’s the first Disney gift guide for 2020!
Disney Snow Globes
We’re earlier enough in the winter that some holiday gifts may stay up in your home for a while.
Chief among them are snow globes, which feel right at home as long as there’s a possibility of snow in your area.
For a lot of people, that’s April nowadays, meaning that you can get plenty of use out of a snow globe.
Hot Topic sells plenty of Disney-related ones. My current favorites are the Balloon House from Up and this Santa Stitch one that also includes Scrump.
Funko Disney POP!
In recent years, our collection of Funko POP! figurines has evolved from “extensive” to “we keep having to buy more bookshelves.”
However, something we noticed during the early years of Funkos was that Disney didn’t have enough POP! items, especially from the parks.
Well, that all changed this year, as Disney rolled out a POP! for seemingly every occasion and beloved theme park ride.
Would you like to give someone a Santa Mickey Mouse ringing a bell? Here you go!
Do you want a POP! of Constance Hatchaway sitting on a tombstone? Yup, those are available.
Could I interest you in a Mr. Toad sans wild ride? Would you like to watch Donald Duck take on the Matterhorn Bobsleds?
I can even show you Minnie Mouse taking a spin on Dumbo’s Flying Elephant.
Friends, if you know someone who loves Disney and Funkos, you’re going to have an easy time shopping this year.
Geek Out! Disney Trivia
Do you have a loved one who enjoys board games? If so, you’ve got a winning gift here.
Geek Out! games work like bar bet challenges. They’re about one-upping your opponent.
You’ll receive a card with several Disney questions on it. The players will pick how many correct answers they can give.
Think of it like Name That Tune in reverse. You say you can name two questions.
Then, the other player can either try for three or allow you to try for two.
The questions vary in difficulty, but it’s stuff like “Name two Disney characters who have beards,” or “Name three Disney movies where a Prince sings.”
The recipient of this gift will get to prove their vast Disney knowledge every game night!
There’s a reason why Geek Out! is a popular choice for streamers. Everyone has fun, and it’s accessible enough that even casual Disney fans can play.

Disney Jewelry
As an obsessive gift giver, I’m not a strong proponent of jewelry as a gift. I find it a bit impersonal as a rule.
“Here, have a shiny bauble,” doesn’t send the right message in many situations.
However, I’ve changed my tune a bit recently. I discovered a website that sells Disney-themed jewelry!
I understand that many people have tighter budgets in 2020. Thankfully, this site sells plenty of items under $100.
In fact, you’ll find several Disney Princess-based items for affordable prices, including some lovely Elsa and Belle earrings and necklaces.
This site took care of my Christmas and Valentine’s Day needs and will do holiday deals from now through the end of the year.
Seriously, Olaf fans, how great is this?
The Child
Last year, Disney thoughtfully chose to guard the most powerful secret in The Mandalorian.
Baby Yoda The Child appeared at the end of the pilot episode, as fans immediately screamed, “HIGH LEVELS OF WANT!!!”
Well, the universe brutally punished Disney for doing the right thing, as the company could have used that merchandising money during the pandemic.
Last year’s conscientious objection has become this year’s must-have gift, though.
You’ll find The Child merchandise in all shapes, sizes, and forms this holiday season.
You can buy ugly holiday sweaters or hair scrunchies or Chia Pets. There’s even a The Child slow cooker, which may be what they use at Ronto Roasters.
If you know someone who loves Star Wars, you know someone who will treasure each and every bit of The Child merchandise you buy. Go nuts!
Marvel Advent Calendar – Storybook Collection
Okay, here’s a fun one that comes with a caveat.
We’re still far enough away from Christmas that you can enjoy this gift this year.
The item’s precisely what it sounds like – a series of Marvel Comics stories. You’ll open one per day throughout December.
The advent calendar comes with 24 books, which makes it ideal for parents to read to children. You can make December Story Time a tradition!
I wholeheartedly recommend this gift. However, it comes with a warning.
I purchased this for a friend, but I didn’t have it shipped to them. I was putting together a care package and planned to add the calendar.
Well, this calendar is – I kid you not – nearly two feet tall! Its dimensions indicate that this package stands 21 inches.
So, the calendar isn’t something you’ll want to ship yourself. Leave this one to the professionals!
However, you can buy it for $19.99 on Books-A-Million. That’s a tremendous value, especially for parents who love to read to their kids.
A Trip to Walt Disney World
I don’t want to alarm you, but I learned something the other day that concerned me.
As of this moment, annual passholders cannot book tickets for Disney’s 50th-anniversary celebration at Magic Kingdom!
All Park Passes have sold out for this date! Don’t worry, though!
You’ve still got time to book the vacation trip that will single-handedly elevate 2021 over 2020.
Guests with Disney resort reservations still show Park Pass availability at Magic Kingdom for that date!
Obviously, passes are selling quickly, though.
You should speak with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner at MickeyTravels immediately to book the trip that will help you win Christmas this year!
Think about how happy your family will be, knowing that they have something extraordinary to anticipate in 2021!
