Did DuckTales Just Get Cancelled?
This isn’t how we like to start a Wednesday afternoon but we just found out the sad news that DuckTales may not be returning to Disney XD. We’ve seen three incredible seasons since the series was rebooted back in 2017 but it doesn’t look like there will be a fourth.
Though Disney has yet to make an official announcement regarding the project, Drew Taylor from Collider took to Twitter to address a hashtag that had been trending about there not being a fourth DuckTales Season. Check out his statement below:
I love seeing the #RenewDuckTales2017 hashtag but regretfully inform you that the show is very much done and has been done for a little while now. Not sure why Disney Channel has yet to announce this, but it’s the truth. pic.twitter.com/AAyaXUorBA

As you can see above and as ComicBook.com points out, Taylor seems pretty definitive in his statement that “the show is very much done and has been done for a little while now.” However, it should be noted that Disney has yet to announce an official end to the series.
ComicBook.com advised that they did reach out to Disney for confirmation but as of going to print they have yet to receive word back. For fans of DuckTales there is still time to enjoy the franchise. Disney XD is still airing new episodes from Season 3 on Monday nights.
This is a story that we’ll continue to follow closely. Readers are encouraged to keep checking in with us for further news and updates.
