It’s the most wonderful time of year to visit Walt Disney World Resort. Not only has the Festival of the Holidays kicked off at Epcot and each of the parks are decked out in holiday decor – the Yuletide fun continues to the Disney World resorts as well!
Whether you’re spending a week at one of Disney’s resort for you Winter getaway or are just popping by for the day, each of Disney’s incredible resort properties are a destination onto themselves!
All of the holiday decor is up and boy is it stunning. You’ll find everything from towering trees to festive flourishes like stunning garlands adorning the entrances. Just look at these images from Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort!
You can’t miss the massive and magnificent tree towering outside of Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Resorts with large atriums are decorated with Christmas trees that reach to the skies. A great example is our favorite at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (below.)
Adding to the ambiance are tradition holiday tunes being piped into the resorts or in the case of Disney’s Grand Floridian being played by a live pianist in the lobby.
If you opt for a holiday visit to the resorts be sure to pop by the resort gift shops for a myriad of eclectic holiday gifts!

Let’s start with this simply delightful triple-chocolate Happy Holidays Grand Cake Pop from Gasparilla Island Grill at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.
Then its over to Disney’s Riviera Resort to sample the Christmas Candy Drop which is filled with filled with milk chocolate mousse, chocolate sponge, hazelnut custard and cherry reduction.
Those on a vegan diet will love the plant-based macarons in a pretty shade of pink available at The Artist’s Palette inside Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa.
If you’re a fan of gingerbread then head over to Disney’s EPCOT resorts. A delightful miniature Gingerbread Carousel with hidden Mickeys is sure to wow at DIsney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resort.
Just across the pond at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort, pastry chefs have cooked up a line-up of delicious holiday cookies at the Boardwalk Bakery. There’s also the Gingerbread House Kit (below) available at DIsney’s Contemporary Resort.
Please Note that If you aren’t staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, a dining reservation may be required to park at the resort. Depending on the location’s capacity, guests without reservations may be redirected to park nearby and walk, or take Walt Disney World Transportation to the resort.
