EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays Dazzles On Opening Weekend.
Today marked the first weekend of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays and what an incredible weekend it was! MickeyBlog was there to sample some of the treats, see some of the characters and scope out some of the incredible merch!
If you’ve been following along this weekend no doubt you already had a taste of all this incredible fest has to offer but we wanted to take just a minute to recap some fun decorations we snapped photos of during our travels!
You’ll notice from a lot of the merchandise we shared earlier this weekend that this year Chip and Dale play a key role in the branding for the fest. Here you can see them holding court at a central display when you come into the parks!
We think they look simply adorable amidst all of the incredible poinsettias!
And speaking of appearances, we were so excited to see some people getting into the spirit of the season with these awesome outfits!
We loved seeing all the red, white and green looks complete with tinsel, ornaments and Santa!
Don’t forget to watch Freeform’s entire month of Christmas programming. They had this awesome display up as a reminder.
Seeing all of these presents and candy canes definitely put us in the holiday mood.
For more information on Freeform’s awesome programs check out this article.
This year, your Festival of the Holidays at EPCOT visit would not be complete without taking some time to check out the World Showplace! This is the home to the incredible gingerbread display of the US Capitol building that we shared with you earlier in the week.
You’ll also find incredible food here at the Holiday Hearth, Prost! and Festival Favorites kitchens. As well as incredible merch from Germany Pavilion as well as performance from Joyful! A Celebration of the Season!
Inside World Showplace you’ll also find a fun Frozen-themed display featuring Olaf and Marshmallow!
This area is a great place to go for the perfect EPCOT holiday selfie!
There was also this more traditional display featuring snow capped trees and gifts!
Little Christmas scenes can be found throughout the pavilion.
And wooden soldiers and candy canes greet you when you arrive!
And speaking of Christmas decor, the holidays are a great time to go for a ride on Living with the Land. This ride gets a wintry update each year!
Check out even more awesome pictures of Living with the Land by checking out our article here.
Here’s a luck at the fun Festival of the Holidays display you’ll see as you cross the bridge from Future World to the World Showcase! We love the 3D element added via the Christmas lights!
Here’s a look at some of the presents adorning the area!
And we’ll leave you with one last show of Spaceship Earth! Don’t forget to get your GuideMaps and Festival Passports if you’ll be visiting in the weeks ahead. You can find out more here.
Readers are encouraged to keep following along with MickeyBlog where we’ll be coming to you LIVE! from the theme parks each week during the holiday season!
