Minnie Vans Seen At Local Dealership…
Sometimes it pays to be late?
IDK about that, but by the time I sat down to write a post about “Minnie Vans being sold” at a local dealership, the story – wasn’t.
Or, at least it wasn’t the same story.
No, The Minnie Vans Are Not For Sale
Now, the story reads something like, “Walt Disney World’s Minnie Vans are at a local dealership for repairs.”
But originally, a few sites (and frankly I can’t fault anyone for being excited about a crazy story and picture like that) said that the Minnie Vans lined up at a local dealership for repairs were on sale.
In fact, Disney reached out to one of those sites and set the record straight:
OK, Disney reached out directly to me about the Minnie Van pic. Seems these were just in for service and not being sold. I am deleting the tweet as it is not correct. I apologize for making it seem like it was confirmed, even though this is not a real Disney blog.

And, no doubt, the above tweet, and several similar notes helped folks who had previously been furloughed sit back a little easier this evening.
Minnie Van Service
Meanwhile, I — for one — am happy. Over my last several occasions to visit Walt Disney World Minne Van service was THE BEST new innovation next to the Disney Skyliner.
Each and everyone I encountered via the Minnie Van was incredible. Moreover, the service was reasonably priced, safe, and a far, far cry from the bane of my Disney experience – the buses.
Currently listed as “Unavailable,” it’s certainly a great sign that the vans are at the dealer’s getting a looksie, no?

We were surprised to see a new announcement released by Walt Disney World yesterday regarding the Minnie Van Airport Transfers. Previously Disney had only stated that in general, the Minnie Van Service was temporarily unavailable. This umbrella statement covered both the transportation within the Resort itself and the commute to and from the Orlando International Airport.
We now have the official update that:
Minnie Van service is temporarily unavailable at Walt Disney World Resort. Please note that Minnie Van service to and from Orlando International Airport will not be available for bookings until further notice, including as either a package add-on or standalone option. We are working with guests with existing Minnie Van bookings to arrange alternate transportation during their stay.

Notice no information there about discontinuing the service.
Again, this is great. Because in terms of a concierge-level experience – Minnie Van, its cast members, and the vehicles themselves are AWESOME.
Here’s hoping we get them back, soon.
