The Crowds at Magic Kingdom Are Picking Up for Thanksgiving Week
Historically Thanksgiving week has been one of the busiest times of year to visit Walt Disney World. So how are things looking this year with COVID-19 restrictions still in place?
Despite the attendance cap, our MickeyBlogger was on the scene at Magic Kingdom today and can report that crowds were definitely a bit heavier than usual! This is reflected in the wait times for some of Disney World’s most popular attractions. We’ll share them with you below:
Though on initial inspection with rides like Carousel of Progress and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin it might not look too bad.
And for attractions like Tomorrowland Speedway and Prince Charming Regal Carrousel, these wait times as of 4:18 today weren’t too much of a stretch.
However, the times starting to climb for attractions like Jungle Cruise and Peter Pan’s Flight do indicate larger than normal crowds.
It should be remembered that there are no FastPasses at the moment. This means lots of waiting for attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. These times are consistent with those that we were seeing over the busy summer months!
It was announced earlier this month that Disney World would be increasing their capacity to 35% to accommodate more guests at the theme parks. It remains to be seen how high the waits get this Thanksgiving weekend but keep following along with us and we promise to keep you posted.
