RECAP: The Mandalorian, Chapter 12 – The Siege
Thank goodness we got you caught up with everything Star Wars last night, but the folks over at StarWars.com and Disney+ press keep pumping out galactic goodness.
However, there’s not much to say without your being spoiled. So, if you have not yet watched “Chapter 12: The Siege,” set coordinates and make the jump to hyperspace.

Still here? Good.
Today, the StarWars.com team posted: Mando Download: “Chapter 12: The Siege.”

In “Chapter 12: The Siege,” the Mandalorian returns to Nevarro, reconnecting with old allies for a new mission. Check out the gallery below for a brand-new character poster, stills, and concept art from the episode!
The very slight episode description said:
The Mandalorian rejoins old allies for a new mission.
Here are the goods:
Notice what is on his belt? Yep, the good ol’ Moff has a real Darth Vader vibe, no?

Subsequently, Dan Brooks, the Moff-type over at StarWars.com, added five awesome moments to his ever-growing list of Bounty Hunting Highlights.
Our favorite of the week being:
4. The escape.
When things don’t go quite as planned in Star Wars — meaning Imperial remnants are looking to destroy you — you improvise. Cara, Greef, and their Mythrol companion get creative, while Mando makes good use of a newly-repaired Razor Crest. Watching this all-star team take out stormtroopers will never get old.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t at least add some thoughts on THE VAT.
Space.com’s Scott Snowden really nailed the description:
After clearing the area they turn to see a row of huge wall-mounted test tubes, like something out of “Alien: Resurrection” and inside seem to be disfigured humanoid forms. Everyone is … er, speechless, to say the least. “I thought you said this was a forward operating base,” Dune says. “This is not a military operation … this is a lab.”
First musings:
Just my first stab at understanding what it is we’re being teased with…
- Proto Snoke?
- Proto Palpatine clone?
- Test subjects, who have received midi-chlorians.
- NOT cloned Baby Yodas.
The hologram of the cloning doc makes mention of The Child’s blood and needing more.
And, with there now being a homing beacon on the Razor Crest; well, we have our big mid-season galaxy-defining conflict coming as The Mandalorian looks for “The Jedi” this Friday.
