Updates On New 2021 Disney Park Attractions
There was A LOT of Disney Park news released yesterday by Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, at the IAAPA Expo. In case you missed all the fun heading our way in 2021, I have your recap below so you stay up to date! Plus, at the bottom of my article I have the sneak peek video that Josh shared yesterday with even more amazing images of the upcoming 2021 Disney Park Attractions.
2021 Disney Park Attractions Updates:
Avengers Campus at Disneyland Resort and Disneyland Paris
Progress is still being made toward this brand new land’s completion. Once completed, this new land will invite guests to team up with the Avengers and their allies in a fully immersive land
The Avengers Campus is the new Headquarters and training facility to inspire all potential recruits willing to step up and become something more. As part of this global initiative, Tony Stark has founded the Worldwide Engineering Brigade — or WEB for short— to develop advancements in super-powered technology, including new enhancements to Spider-Man’s suit as their debut project. By bringing together the world’s brightest young inventors, the WEB is creating new interfaces that will empower all of us to join the ranks of Earth’s Mightiest.
The new attraction to this land is called WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure and is where guests will be able to board vehicles and help Spider-Man take control of an army of Spider-Bots that have taken over Avengers Campus.
Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel
Although we don’t have an official opening date yet, guests visiting Disneyland Paris will also soon be able to experience Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel. This beautifully refurbished hotel celebrates 80 years of Marvel storytelling in a typical New York setting.
The resort will feature contemporary Art Deco style that takes the form of a modern art gallery that has assembled Earth’s mightiest Marvel artwork. A true Manhattan and Marvel masterpiece.
Harmonious
The new nighttime spectacular, “Harmonious”, the largest ever created for a Disney park—is coming to World Showcase. Guests will enjoy massive floating set pieces that house a variety of show effects, including custom-built LED panels, choreographed moving fountains, colorful lights, lasers, pyrotechnics and more.
It will feature the hallmarks of a Disney experience, including music and images, reimagined by diverse cultural musicians and artists from around the world. It’s a transformative experience, where we can discover how Disney music has the power to inspire and unite us all.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind
The new attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, is the first to feature a reverse launch into space. The thrilling, family-friendly attraction will feature a never-before-seen storytelling coaster that rotates to focus on the action, wherever it may be. Here’s a very cool look at the coaster in motion:
What’s so awesome about this new attraction is that it is an Omnicoaster. This first- of-its-kind programmable roller coaster ride system gets its name from the Omnimover ride system in which Walt Disney Imagineers are able to turn guests in any direction and focus their attention on a specific scene or element.
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
We also now know the exciting news that plans are on track to open Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in 2021! Shown above is a crew from Walt Disney Imagineering that recently installed the marquee for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure.
The new family-friendly immersive attraction in the France pavilion at EPCOT is a culinary adventure where guests will race across Gusteau’s kitchen floor aboard special trackless ride vehicles in a thrilling 3D chase.
Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser
We also got our first peek at the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser guest rooms!
This first-of-its-kind vacation experience invites guests to embark together on a two-night journey to a galaxy far, far away on board a glamorous ship, known as the Halcyon, where every window offers stellar views into space.
The immersive adventure will include special activities, incredible dining and a “spaceport” day on Batuu at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, inviting guests even deeper into their own Star Wars stories.
We still don’t have an opening date or exact pricing but stay tuned for more info…
“Zootopia” at Shanghai Disney Resort
Progress continues on this beautiful new land coming to Shanghai Disney Resort themed to the Walt Disney Animation Studios film Zootopia. In addition to a major new attraction that blends storytelling and state-of-the-art technology to bring this favorite film to life, guests can expect immersive entertainment, merchandise and dining options that can only be found in this “mammalian metropolis.”
It will include a new major attraction that will seamlessly blend Disney storytelling and state-of-the-art technology to bring this fan-favorite movie and its characters to life. In this aerial photo of the area, you can see just how big the show building will be.
Tokyo Disneyland Expansion
On September 28th we saw the grand opening of the largest expansion in the 37 year history of Tokyo Disneyland Park. Guests enjoyed new experiences featuring New Fantasyland, Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast, The Happy Ride with Baymax, and Minnie’s Style Studio.
The expansion continues with “Fantasy Springs” coming soon too. This exciting development will be themed to a magical spring inspired by the beloved Disney Animation films “Frozen,” “Tangled” and “Peter Pan.” It’ll include four new attractions, three restaurants and a new Disney-themed hotel situated inside Tokyo DisneySea that will overlook Fantasy Springs.
