Give Kids the World’s Night of a Million Lights Grand Debut!
Give Kids the World is a place full of unparalleled magic- the sights of families spending priceless time together and sounds of children’s laughter can be heard everywhere you go.
Give Kids the World Village is a non-profit organization that hosts Make-a-Wish children and their families by fulfilling their dream of visiting Walt Disney World Resort…at absolutely no cost to the family! Yes, it’s a pretty magical place!
Since the Village hosts families 365 days a year, it is never usually open to public access, and that special magic is reserved solely for its honored guests. In March of 2020, Give Kids the World was forced to close due to the ongoing pandemic, delaying more than 6,000 wishes. SIX THOUSAND!
Like President Pam Landwirth told MickeyBlog exclusively, “there is no silver lining in a pandemic”, and she is right. But in our opinion, an extremely unique silver lining can be found at Give Kids the World Village starting tonight, at the first-ever Night of a Million Lights!
Night of a Million Lights
MickeyBlog was invited to the Night of a Million Lights preview event! Night of a Million Lights is a family-friendly fundraiser for Give Kids the World- but being there in-person, it truly feels like an extension of Theme Park Magic has made to the Village!
The Village comes to sparkling life with millions of glittering lights, 3 million of which were donated by Disney.
For this Holiday season only, you can see all of the amazing attractions, eateries, the castle, and the Villas up-close and in-person when you attend Night of a Million Lights!
As if the phenomenal, completely immersive light display isn’t enough of a draw, guests of Night of a Million Lights will also have complimentary access to some of their many attractions, encounter characters, experience entertainment, enjoy a complimentary ice cream, and take a selfie with Santa and Mrs. Claus!
45 Give Kids the World partners- including Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld, Crayola, WWE, Kennedy Space Center, and Hasbro- have volunteered their time and talents to ‘adopt’ and decorate one of their spectacular Villas for Night of a Million Lights.
Night of a Million Lights is a walk-through event perfect for a family outing, date night, or even a friendly get-together!
All Covid-19 safety precautions are in place, and being that the event is completely outside, I felt extremely safe the entire time I was visiting the Village!
The event runs for 53-nights, so that means starting tonight you have 53 chances to make it out to Give Kids the World Village to experience this fantastic event for an even better cause. Tickets can be purchased here for Night of a Million Lights! Make sure to let them know MickeyBlog sent you! If you are not a Florida native and won’t be here for the Holidays, please visit Give Kids the World’s website to make a donation. They are relying on our support to help them reopen, so let’s all help them out by donating!
