An Orlando White Castle Near Cinderella’s Castle
Orlando’s White Castle Breaks Ground On November 19
File under: I’m hungry.
It was a favorite movie back in the day…

Are you saying what I think you’re saying?
We gotta go to White Castle.
Late last year, 15 years after Harold & Kumar made their famous trek, White Castle announced it would be coming to Orlando.
Back on December 2, 2019, I posted:
Burger lovers, rejoice? White Castle is coming to Orlando!
The burger chain will arrive (with the “biggest White Castle in the world”) in Central Florida during 2020.
Cheekily, I added: In the end, I am not sure if this is a good thing.
But, admittedly, I have never had a White Castle hamburger.
However, I guess I will have to take Pookie’s partner on his word:
[I]f there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that if you’re craving White Castle, the burgers here just don’t cut it. In fact, just thinking about those tender little White Castle burgers with those little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in your mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one, just makes me want to burn this [other burger chain] down.
Obviously, I am not advocating arson.
But it does look like Orlando’s incoming fast-food burger joint will be a hot spot.

White Castle is expected to bring its hamburgers back to Florida this spring.
An invitation-only groundbreaking is scheduled to take place Nov. 19 for the new restaurant, which will begin construction in the O-Town West development on Daryl Carter Parkway near Disney World.
“Our opening is scheduled for spring of 2021 – so full steam ahead,” White Castle vice president Jamie Richardson said in an email.

Orlando will be the epicenter for Florida Cravers next year when the nearly 100-year-old company opens the world’s largest, free-standing White Castle in a new development off Interstate 4 north of Walt Disney World.
White Castle on Thursday announced a groundbreaking date — November 19 — for what it describes will be a “sleek, modern industrial-style architectural design” featuring the chain’s “iconic tower.”
“The 4,567-square-foot restaurant will include indoor and outdoor seating, two drive-through lanes, and is expected to create 120 new jobs,” White Castle said.
A Long Drive Or A Long Wait?
Unfortunately, I won’t be getting to a White Castle until I next get to Orlando.
The nearest location to me is in Nanuet, New York – some 185 miles and three-plus hours away.
All right. Awesome. Then listen, listen–no matter what, we are not ending this night without White Castle in our stomachs. Agreed?
I wish. Or do I?
