Disney Wonder Leaves Dry Dock
I have some exciting news for everyone today! Instagram user @dkrijgsman ,a 1st Officer for Disney Cruise Line, just shared a photo of the Disney Wonder cruise ship back in the water again after a long dry dock in Brest, France for the past 3 weeks.

All four Disney Cruise Line ships have been spending time here at the same shipyard in various states of wet/dry dock in order to perform routine regulatory class work and upgrades according to Cruise Industry News. Disney has not released any official details on the specific work/upgrades that are being completed.

As you can see, just four days ago, the Disney Wonder was still high and dry. It’s also important to note that just four days ago the CDC rescinded its No-Sail Order and move onto a Conditional Sail Order where each cruise line must prove that it can provide a safe and responsible resumption for passenger cruises.
The first cruises to leave port will be simulation sailings designed to show that ships and crews are in compliance with CDC standards. Disney Cruise Line has since cancelled the remaining itineraries for 2020 so that they could focus on completing the tasks set forth by the CDC.
But the good news is that Disney Cruise Line is booking sailings for all of 2021 through the beginning of 2022. Disney Cruise Line has also made some temporary modifications that let you adjust your sail date or receive a full refund should the need arise.
- Final Payment: For sailings through May 2021, you are able to make your final payment until up to 60 days prior to sailing.
- Cancellation Fee Schedule: For sailings through May 2021, the cancellation fee schedule has been temporarily relaxed.
- Cruise Date Flexibility: For any sailings booked by November 30, 2020 scheduled to sail on or before May 31, 2021, you can change your sail date up to 15 days prior to departure.
- Flexible Refund Policy: Within 14 days of the sailing, booked Guests with COVID-19-related health concerns (symptoms or exposure) can receive a full refund without Disney-imposed cancellation fees or apply their cruise fare toward a future sail date.
