Join Us For a Look at The Bungalows At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
Today you MickeyBlogger is coming to you LIVE from Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort where we had a rare opportunity to visit a Bungalow! We’ve snapped some initial photos to share with you!
Known as the Bora Bora Bungalows there are 20 of these over-the-water huts at the Poly.
Each of the Bungalows are 1650 square feet and keep with the South Pacific theming of the Polynesian Village Resort.
Inside, guests will find an open plan kitchen, dining and living room area that is simply stunning!
Here you see the sitting area with sofa, coffee table, two chairs, side table and wall entertainment unit.
This area is fantastic for accommodating large groups and features towering wooden ceilings and mid-century modern furnishings.
The view out of the front of our bungalow was breathtaking. Sliding doors offer panoramic sightlines of Seven Seas Lagoon and beyond it Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort.
The kitchen boasted lots of fun tiki-inspired details.
Guests will also find a host of amenities including full fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, plates, glasses and utensils.
The vaulted ceiling really makes this common area feel massive.
The dining room table has pride of place in the center of the room and can comfortably sit 8 adults.
The dining area is the heart of the bungalow with views of Seven Seas Lagoon!
The living room area features a convertible sofa bed.
Along the wall is an entertainment unit with large screen television.
At night the unit can be folded down to reveal a single bed complete with stunning image of the Electric Water Pageant.
The bungalows feature two bedrooms including a Master ensuite.
We love all of the deep rich wood tones in the master. As you can see it also comes with its own exit to the outdoor porch area.
The bed in the Master Suite offers under-the-bed storage making it perfect for stowing suitcases.
There’s also a spacious desk area in the Master for those need to work while on vacation.
The bathroom of the master bedroom features both a bathtub and a walk-in shower.
Along with dual sinks.
This bathroom is very big making it easy for families getting ready after a day at the pool or for prepping for a day at the parks!
The walk in shower feels like your own private grotto complete with rainfall showerhead and pebbly tile design.
There’s a sliding door separating the master from the bathroom which offers plenty of privacy!
The second bedroom is definitely smaller than the master with queen bed and window seating.
It does offer nice closet space though!
We also love the colorful surfboard headboard!
You’ll also find another pull down bed in this room complete with a Lilo & Stitch-inspired nighttime scene.
In addition to the master bath, there is also a smaller communal bathroom with shower/tub.
The bungalow also comes with washer and dryer, safe, and tons of closet space!
There’s also computer controlled lighting adding a bit of a techie touch!
But what really takes these bungalows to the next level is the absolutely stunning deck area!
The Master Bedroom has its own exit to the deck area which features two swinging chairs
In a nice spot to steal a quiet moment and leads around to the pool deck.
Here you’ll find a couple of deck chair and an outdoor table.
Check out the view of the Grand Floridian from this deck!
There’s also a child gate that leads to the pool area.
This plunge p0ool is tiny, but it’s all yours and its perfect for cooling off without having to walk to the main pool!
It’s just the perfect size for a few family members to kick back, relax and enjoy the views.
We can’t think of a better vantage point for the Electric Water Pageant which floats by nightly!
You can also see the Magic Kingdom from the Bungalows.
When the fireworks are back up and running again you can also view them right from your Bungalow! These rooms even have sound systems that will pipe in the accompanying soundtrack for optimal viewing!
The bungalows are a Disney Vacation Club property and can be booked using your DVC points. However, they are also often times open for regular bookings. However they do come at cost. Prices for a Bora Bora Bungalow are typically around $2500 a night!
