ICYMI: Festival of the Holidays Returns November 27 – December 30
If you’ve been following along with MickeyBlog this week then you’ll know that Disney announced that the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays will be back. For 2020, festivities will be scaled down a wee bit due to COVID-19, which is why Disney has officially changed the title to “A TASTE of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.” The event this year is being sponsored by AdventHealth and while there’s no Candlelight Processional or Holiday Storytellers, there is still massive amounts of fun to be had.
The Fest will take place from November 27 – December 30, 2020.
Holiday Kitchens
At this year’s festival guests will be able to enjoy a global celebration of cuisine at over a dozen Holiday Kitchens that you’ll find located around the World Shows. There will even be three culinary kiosks located inside the World ShowPlace Events Pavilion. Be on the lookout for the return of favorite treats like the slow roasted turkey from American Holiday Table, pork schnitzel from the Bavaria Holiday Kitchen and (our favorite) beef bourguignon from the Yukon Holiday Kitchen!
Though the menus for this year’s Yuletide feasts have yet to be announced, we do have a list of the kiosks that will be serving up food this year. You can check out our complete list of Holiday Kitchens here.
Frozen Holiday Promenade
It wouldn’t be the winter without Anna, Elsa, Olaf and our other friends from snowy Arendelle! This year Queen Anna and Elsa will be holding a very special “Frozen Holiday Promenade.” They’ll be on hand to give EPCOT visitors a wintry greeting that is sure to put a smile on the faces of Frozen fans of all ages!
Mickey and Friends Christmas Holiday World Tour
Another character promenade you won’t want to miss is when Mickey and friends make the rounds to put you in the festive mood! Mickey and Minnie love to get dressed up each season and we can’t wait to see what they’ve come up with for Christmas 2020!
Santa
Unfortunately guests won’t be able to sit with Santa this year but that doesn’t mean he isn’t thinking of you! Jolly Old St. Nick will be making appearances throughout the holiday season atop his horse-drawn sleigh! Be on the lookout for him making the rounds around the World Showcase sharing his holiday blessings with boys and girls of all ages!
Voices of Liberty
This incredible Disney acapella group is in our minds a National Treasure! We are delighted to announce that they will once again be spreading the holiday cheer at America Gardens Theatre. They’ll be talking you through favorite Christmas carols. You’re sure to be dazzled by their incredible harmonies!
Mariachi Cobre
We’re also pleased to announce that one of our favorite World Showcase acts, Mariachi Cobre will be dazzling guests with Las Posadas. This celebration of Mexican holiday customs is told through an incredible array of music and dance that is simply not-to-be-missed!
JAMMitors
Head over to the Canada Pavilion this Holiday Season where JAMMitors will be gracing the Mill Stage with their playful percussion act that has been wowing EPCOT guests for years!
JOYFUL! A Celebration of the Season
JOYFUL! will be returning to Future World where they will once again dazzle guests with their uplifting and toe-tapping journey through R&B, gospel, contemporary traditional Christmas and holiday music.
Holiday Cookie Stroll
The Holiday Cookie Stroll will be returning for another year. You can sample select Christmas cookies from around the world showcase and you even get a free cookie for completing your quests! Need a place to store all your Christmas Cookies? Disney has unveiled a special cookie jar for the year which you’ll find at Holiday Markets throughout the World Showcase (while supplies last.)
You can find out more about this year’s Cookie Stroll here.
Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition
And last, but not least, we have some more Frozen fun! Olaf’s Holiday Tradition Expedition” is a festive adventure around the World Showcase. You can purchase the map for this scavenger hunt at MouseGear, Disney Traders or World Traveler. Then as you stroll around the World Showcase, be on the lookout for hidden Olafs. Find them all and you’ll get a special gift worth melting for!
Also the holiday fun isn’t just limited to EPCOT. Festivities kick off across all four parks on November 6, 2020 with seasonal celebrations at Magic Kingdom Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney Springs and Disney Resort hotels.
