Social Distance Markers Spotted in the Festival of the Lion King Queue
On a recent outing to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, I spotted something that rendered me speechless. With a little jump of joy and an audible ‘woah!’
I whipped out my camera to capture what my eyes were seeing, because I needed to be able to prove it later.
Festival of Lion King Queue Line!
Neither your eyes nor mine deceive us- those are very real social distance markers you’re seeing in the Festival of the Lion King queue line!
Disney has added social distancing markers just like these to all of their queues to encourage distancing and safety while waiting in line.
Will Festival of the Lion King Return Soon?
Of course, seeing these markers on the ground tempted me to speculate. Will the show be back soon? The short answer is- it’s a mystery.
Until there is a way that performers can safely sing and dance well within 6ft of one another, it’s unlikely that we will see any large-scale stage productions return to Walt Disney World Resort.
But there is hope! The addition of these distancing markers to the FOLK queue line are definitely reason to get excited, because that means we are one step closer to joining Simba and his friends at the Harambe Theater once again!
