Disney Wonder Spotted On Her Way To Dry Dock
With the cruising industry on hiatus, Disney Cruise Line is taking advantage of the downtime to have some upgrades done to the ships. This according to a recent piece on Cruise Industry News.
The Disney Wonder which is now twenty years old was spotted this week on her way to Brest, France with a pitstop in Ponta Delgada in the Azores to fuel up after sailing from Port Canaveral. We have some awesome images of her transatlantic crossing thanks to photographer Antonio Simas.
As of going to print, Disney has not released specific details regarding any refurbishments or renovations to the Disney Wonder. However, this is a story that we’ll be following closely here at MickeyBlog and we promise to keep you posted.
As we’ve previously reported, Disney Wonder has had sailings cancelled through December while Disney Cruise Line waits for the cruising industry/government officials to provide further guidelines on when it is safe for cruising to resume.
The ship was scheduled to spend the winter season offering short sailings from Galveston and New Orleans. Then next Spring, the Disney Wonder moves to the West Coast for its 2021 Alaska itineraries.
