DIY: Create This Frightfully Delightful Poison Apple Pumpkin At Home!
Need a little Halloween decorating inspiration? Disney has you covered with a DIY Poison Apple Pumpkin DIY that is sure to add a bit of Disney spookiness to your Halloween decor.
This project was inspired by the classic film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and in just a few steps you’ll have the wickedly wonderful pumpkin below!
Supplies:
First, let’s gather up a few items. You’ll need the following:
- red paint
- shaving cream
- glue
- you’ll also need a template for the eyes! Here it is:
Now here’s an infographic with the instructions:
Instructions:
Step 1: Paint your pumpkin red using a combination of metallic red and dark red for a more realistic look. Let’ the paint dry completely.
Step 2: Use the template to draw the face onto the pumpkin with a pencil or marker. This is the area you’ll want to avoid putting the foam mixture on.
Step 3: Mix together equal parts of the shaving cream and white glue. Once mixed, add a bit more glue to the mixture for longer lasting foam.
Step 4: Use the spoons and your hands to drip globs of the mixture halfway down the pumpkin. Avoid the outline you made. Go back and fill in any empty spots.
Step 5: Let dry and display.
Please Note: The mixture will start to deflate after 5 days due to air bubbles leaving. You can touch up with more foam or wipe it off the pumpkin and add some fresh gloop!
