Vintage Aladdin Shirt Sells For $6000!
According to a recent post on IGN, a man from Arizona recently made a whopping $6,000 by selling a vintage Disney shirt from 1992 themed after the original animated version of Aladdin. As you can see from the tweet below, Corbin Smith (age 27) sold the 28-year-old t-shirt on Virtual Flea. For those unfamiliar, Virtual Flea is a livestream where vendors can sell their used goods since most flea markets have remained closed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Smith said that he was hoping to make around $2,000 for the Aladdin shirt which he bought for $500 back in December. Talk about a profit!
The bidding originally started at $1 before rising to the winning bid of $6000. Smith told the Wall Street Journal, I’ve never had more than like $4,800 to my name,” Smith told the paper. “And I made more than that off one piece of cloth.”
So who bid on this incredible item? It was purchased by someone by the name of @ShirtCheck who bought the Aladdin shirt as a long-term investment. This buyer has a reputation in the community for not being afraid to spend a pretty penny when it comes to vintage movie and TV shirts. Adams told WSJ that he might even have the largest collection of movie and tv shirts in the world!
What makes items like this so valuable to collectors? Many of these items were made specifically for production crews making them highly sought after items working within the vintage movie merchandising market!
