Disney’s The Ghost and Molly McGee Now Has Logo and Cast
Move over Vampirina! Just in time for Halloween we’ve got the scoop on The Curse of Molly McGee, a new show heading to the Disney Channel in 2021. The project seems to be gaining momentum with a brand new title and a new logo.
The animated show is the brainchild of Bill Motz and Bob Roth (LEGO Star Wars: Three Freemaker Adventures) . Going forward the show will now be called The Ghost and Molly McGee. (it was previously called The Curse of Molly McGee) Disney also announced that Emmy Award-winner Ashly Burch (Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet) and Dana Snyder (Aqua Teen Hunger Force) will star as Molly and the Ghost. The show is set to premiere on the Disney Channel and DisneyNow at some point next year!
Though not too many details regarding the show have been revealed, we do know that Molly loves to work toward making the world a better place. However Scratch, the grump ghost likes to spread misery. When on of Scratch’s curses backfires he finds himself forever bound to Molly and an unlikely friendship ensues.
We should get further details regarding the project in early October There will be a panel devoted to the project during New York Comic-Con which will take place on October 9th at 1:50 pm. During the panel virtual attendees will get a first look at the animated series. As ComicBook.com tells us, Burch, Snyder, Motz and Roth will also be part of the panel along with Executive Steve Loter who’s other credits include Kim Possible.
The Ghost of Molly McGee will be produced by Disney Television Animation. This is a story that we’ll be following closely here at MickeyBlog, readers are encouraged to keep checking in with us for further news and updates!
